Volunteer FAQs

What is the Minimum Age to Volunteer?

You must be at least 18 years old to volunteer at the Maridoe Collegiate Invitational.

What Duties Do Volunteers Have?

Volunteers are assigned to a variety of committees, performing the many tasks required to conduct a NCAA Division I Men's Golf event. A description of each committee will be available for your review on the committee description page.

Which Days Are Volunteers Needed?

The great majority of volunteer requirements are Saturday through Wednesday of tournament week, but some assistance may be required before and after the tournament. Committee Descriptions include the days each committee operates. These days may be subject to change.

How Long Am I Expected to Work Each Day? How Many Days?

Depending on the committee on which you serve, the average workday is 6 to 8 hours long. Some assignments may require longer days, particularly Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Each volunteer is required to work at least three days and/or at least 18 hours, but most choose to work more.

Where is Volunteer Parking?

Parking will be located at Newman Smith Baseball Field (2335 N. Josey Lane, Carrollton, TX 75006). Roundtrip shuttle service will be provided to and from the golf course.

Who Benefits from the Work I Do?

Of course the players and spectators greatly appreciate the efforts of our volunteers – it’s no secret that the success of the event depends on our volunteer force. An enhanced experience for players, spectators and sponsors ensures our charitable giving increases. The Maridoe Collegiate Invitational partners with the Northern Texas PGA Foundation and the Dallas Stars Foundation.
